Singer songwriter Ron Leary’s smokey, rye-soaked voice is legendary throughout Ontario’s southern region. Best known for his fiercely honest approach to songcraft, Leary’s song narratives touch upon the politics of the day, the downtrodden, romance and joy. Few have captured the spirit of Canada's deep south in song better.
Ron Leary is a lifelong independent artist self-releasing 5 full length albums to date and regularly touring nationally within Canada. His two most critically acclaimed albums to date are The Road in Between and Tobacco Fields.
Over the years Ron Leary has performed many festivals, theatres and venues sharing the stage with such notables as The Sadies, Ron Sexsmith, Amelia Curran, By Divine Right, Steve Forbert, Noam Chomsky, K’Naan, Rheostatics, Great Lake Swimmers and so many more.
